WHY WE STARTED
Hedonist Chicago began in 2020 from a search for leather wallets, belts, and accessories that balanced quality, design, functionality, and value without unnecessary compromise.
When we could not consistently find what we were looking for, we decided to build a collection around our own standards instead.
What started with leather essentials has continued to grow into a broader collection designed in Chicago and selected for people who care about how everyday objects look, feel, perform, and age.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The name Hedonist was chosen deliberately. To us, hedonism is not about excess. It is about recognizing the value of things that bring genuine and lasting satisfaction.
That philosophy shapes the way we approach our products: purposeful design, quality materials, practical details, and objects made to remain relevant beyond changing trends.
No trends, just quality.
HOW WE MAKE OUR PRODUCTS
Our collection brings together two distinct approaches to leather craftsmanship. Most Hedonist Chicago products are made by carefully selected, established manufacturers operating certified facilities with modern quality-control systems and proven expertise in leather goods production.
Our Handmade Collection follows a different path. These pieces come from a small group of specialized independent workshops selected through extensive evaluation, where the work - including stitching - is performed by hand.
In both cases, we choose our manufacturing partners for the quality of their materials, consistency of workmanship, and ability to meet our standards.
WHAT WE STAND BEHIND
We pay attention to the details that determine whether a product remains useful and satisfying long after the first impression: leather quality, construction, hardware, proportions, functionality, finishing, and consistency.
Our products are designed in Chicago and inspected to our in-house standard. We continually evaluate both the products we offer and the partners we work with as the collection evolves.
The goal is straightforward: to offer leather goods we are comfortable putting our name on and that customers can enjoy using every day.
