The brown strap is smooth top-grain leather in a mid-tone that works across navy, grey, and khaki. The wide silver plate buckle has a flat, uncluttered face with the HC logo laser-engraved at the center. No belt holes means the fit stays exact rather than defaulting to the nearest punch mark. The buckle detaches from the strap in a few seconds, press the lever, slide out, swap with any other HC 1.38-inch strap or buckle.

How do I size this brown leather ratchet belt?
Order your trouser waist size. The strap ships pre-trimmed to that measurement. The ratchet track then provides about one inch of micro-adjustment in either direction, so day-to-day waist variation doesn't require retrimming. Between sizes, go with the larger.
What makes this a ratchet belt rather than a standard belt?
No holes. A standard belt has five or six fixed positions spaced an inch apart. This belt with ratchet has a hidden track running the full strap length with adjustment points every quarter inch, more than thirty positions total. You set the exact fit rather than picking the closest hole.
What is the brushed silver plate buckle finish on this brown belt?
Brushed silver plate. The wide flat face has a satin texture rather than a mirror finish, which resists fingerprints and pairs well with both warm and neutral outfits. The HC logo is laser-engraved at the center. The buckle presses off the strap and can be swapped with any HC 1.38-inch component.
Can I trim this belt to fit myself?
Yes. Press the release lever on the back of the buckle, slide the strap out, and cut from the tail end using the size markings on the strap's back as a guide. Reinsert until the track clicks. Cut in small increments, you can always remove more.

How do I care for the leather strap?
Wipe with a dry cloth after use. For marks, a barely damp cloth and air drying works well. Apply a thin coat of neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year. Top-grain leather is durable, it doesn't need frequent conditioning. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat.
