Pull-up leather is full-grain leather that has been heavily oiled during tanning. When you flex or press the surface, the natural oils shift and a lighter area briefly appears where the pressure concentrated. The effect settles back as the leather rests. Over months of travel handling, the finish builds a visible record of use at grip points and the buckle end that standard smooth leather does not develop in the same way.
The tag measures 4.5" x 2.5". That format fits standard handle and strap widths securely without shifting during transit. It is large enough to read on a baggage carousel at a normal viewing distance and adds no meaningful bulk to a compact travel bag or weekend duffel.
Yes. Pull-up leather in full-grain vegetable-tanned construction develops contact-point patina faster and more visibly than standard smooth leather. The grip areas and buckle end darken over repeated trips while the main body holds closer to the original whisky tone. After a year of regular travel, the tag looks more personal and considered than a new one rather than simply more worn.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth after each trip. A slightly damp cloth works for surface marks without damaging the leather. Let dry naturally before storing. Condition once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream to keep the oil content even across the surface. Avoid soaking and do not use chemical cleaners, which strip the oils from vegetable-tanned leather.
Personalization is available on request. Hot stamping and foil stamping in gold, silver, black, or white. Up to 120 characters of any text pressed permanently into the leather. Adds 1-2 business days to dispatch. A custom leather luggage tag in pull-up finish stamps cleanly and holds the impression well through years of travel handling.
