On this tan case, pull-up leather means the hide was oiled heavily during tanning, so pressing or bending it pushes those oils toward the surface and lightens the spot for a moment. Because tan starts so light, that shift is the most visible of any color we carry. Give it a few weeks of travel and the fold lines already look distinct.
One passport and three to four cards fit comfortably inside, sized for an ID, a transit card, or a boarding pass next to your passport. Tan is the lightest shade we offer, so the pull-up reaction and later patina show up faster and more clearly than on darker colors. It's slim enough to carry in a jacket pocket or travel pouch.

Because tan starts so pale, the pull-up reaction and the patina that follows both stand out clearly at the spine fold and corners within the first months of carry. The rest of the panel stays close to its original shade, so the contrast builds a genuinely personal look rather than plain wear.
Wipe the case down with a dry cloth after each trip, reaching for a barely damp cloth only when something won't budge. Let it air dry completely before you pack it away, and keep it clear of direct sun or heating vents. Twice yearly, work in a neutral leather cream to even out the oil across the tan surface, and steer clear of solvent-based cleaners.
Personalization comes as hot stamping or foil stamping, up to 120 characters in gold, silver, black, or white, adding one to two days before your order ships. On tan pull-up, initials placed near the fold will pick up the same light-and-dark shift as the rest of the case, so the stamp ages right along with the leather. It's packed in a branded gift bag.
Tan and light mahogany pull-up share the same oiled, full-grain construction and hand stitching. Tan starts as the palest color we stock, so the pull-up effect and the patina that follows are obvious from day one. Light mahogany pull-up carries a warmer, medium brown base, so the same reaction reads more subtly against that darker starting tone.
