The card holder is cut from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. Full-grain retains the complete natural outer surface of the hide, which is the densest and most durable layer. Vegetable tanning uses plant-derived tannins that allow the leather to develop genuine patina through daily carry rather than cracking or stiffening under the same conditions.
The holder holds 12 to 18 cards depending on card thickness. There is also a center pocket for folded bills or receipts. The 7.5" x 3.5" folded profile fits a front trouser pocket, jacket pocket, or small bag without adding bulk.
Yes. Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather deepens at the fold line and slot edges where daily handling is most concentrated. The light mahogany tone develops a burnished depth at these points over months of carry while the main panels hold closer to the original color. That differential aging is specific to full-grain leather and makes the card holder look more personal rather than simply more worn.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth after use. A slightly damp cloth handles surface marks without damaging the leather. Allow to air dry fully before use. Apply a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year to maintain suppleness. Avoid prolonged water exposure and chemical cleaners, which strip the natural oils from vegetable-tanned leather.
