This is the 1.15-inch version of our flat-plate buckle, built for narrower straps such as those used on slimmer dress belts or accessory straps rather than a standard leather belt. It carries the same matte black finish and zinc alloy body as the wider version, just scaled down to match a 1.15-inch track.
No, this buckle is sized for 1.15-inch straps only, and a wider strap won't seat correctly in its track. Pair it with any Hedonist Chicago strap cut to 1.15 inches, in black, brown, or dark brown leather, and the latch will engage exactly as designed.
The body is a zinc alloy casting finished in matte black, identical in material and coating to our 1.38-inch buckles but built on a narrower frame. The smaller size doesn't affect durability, since it still resists scuffs and fingerprints better than a polished surface and holds up to daily wear.
Release the clamp at the back of the buckle, pull free the strap's cut end, and slide your 1.15-inch strap into the same spot before closing the clamp again. Double-check the strap width first, since a 1.38-inch strap won't seat properly in this narrower track.
Like every buckle in the collection, the internal track moves in quarter-inch increments regardless of overall width. That gives you the same fine-tuned fit on a narrow 1.15-inch strap as you'd get from our wider 1.38-inch options, without hunting for the closest punched hole.
