What size should I order for this 1.15" brown leather belt?
Your trouser waist size. The strap ships pre-trimmed. The ratchet track provides about one inch of micro-adjustment in either direction. No holes. Between sizes, go with the larger. Cut from the tail end when retrimming, using the printed size guide.
What is the 1.15" width and why does it matter?
The 1.15-inch width is the narrower option in the HC range. It's designed for dress trouser loops and tailored fits, wider belts can bunch in these loops. At 1.15 inches the belt gives a cleaner line under a suit jacket and suits slim to medium builds.

No. The 1.15-inch and 1.38-inch systems use different track widths and are not cross-compatible. Within the 1.15-inch range, all HC buckles and straps work together freely. If you want to build a set, keep all components in the same width group.
How does the ratchet mechanism on this slim brown belt work?
The strap has a row of teeth inside, the ratchet track. The buckle locks at any position. Press the lever to release. Quarter-inch increments throughout the strap. This slim leather ratchet belt without holes gives you over thirty adjustment positions, far more than a traditional buckle.
