The keychain is cut from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. Full-grain retains the natural outer surface of the hide where fiber density is highest. Vegetable tanning uses plant-derived tannins that allow the leather to develop genuine patina through daily belt carry rather than cracking or stiffening under the same conditions.
The keychain holds up to 8 keys and attaches via a belt loop fitting. The 4.0" x 1.5" format hangs cleanly from a belt loop, sits flat against the hip during movement, and keeps keys accessible without pocket fumbling throughout the day.
Yes. Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather deepens at the attachment point and grip areas where daily handling is most concentrated. The charcoal tone develops a burnished depth at these points over months of belt carry while the main body holds closer to the original color. That differential aging is specific to full-grain leather.
